Morning Announcements – Nov. 19, 2009

Nov. 18 Grade 12 students applying to Ontario colleges –  there will be online training sessions on November 23rd & 24th .  For those applying to Ontario universities, the online training will be November 25th & 26th.  Sign up in the guidance office.
Nov. 18 Lakehead University is preparing for the “Realize Your Potential Fall Preview Day” on December 4th.  This is a great opportunity for students and their families to tour the university and check out the different departments.  For more information, stop by the guidance office.
Nov. 17 – 20 It is Cookie Time again.  Do you like cookies, subway cookies, but are sad when you can’t have them at home?  Then this is your time to get frozen, ready to bake cookies.  See a member of the Arts Council today, but don’t delay – this is the last week to order.  C is for Cookie, get them now.
Nov. 17 – 20 If you are interested in joining the DHS Ambassadors’ Tour of Russia in 2011, please attend  their information meeting on Tuesday Nov. 24th at 6:30 p.m. in the DHS Library.  Applications from DHS students will be received first come first served and will be screened on the basis of attendance, attitude, behaviour and effort.  You and a parent or guardian must attend  this meeting to qualify.  Please note that our travel dates do NOT conflict with OFSAA. 
Nov. 17 Dryden Atom Tournament organizers are looking for student volunteers to keep time for their tournament which is taking place December 11th – 13th.  Sign up is here in the main office.  This is a good opportunity to earn some volunteer hours.
