Morning Announcements – Nov. 18, 2010

Nov. 18 – 23 Students are reminded that Canadian Mennonite University representatives will be here on Tues., Nov. 23rd in the library from 10:30 – 11:30.  Interested students are to sign up in the guidance office.
Nov. 18, 19, 20 For those Grade 12 students planning to attend an Ontario university this fall, there will be information sessions on Monday & Tuesday.  Please sign up in the guidance office.
Nov. 18 Mrs. Griffiths will be at the school today at lunch for Safe Grad tickets.  Anyone not actively selling their tickets, please return them to Mrs. Griffiths by Nov. 19th.  If you for some reason can not return them by the 19th, you must phone Mrs. Griffiths.
Nov. 18 Lakehead University is holding the Fall Preview Day for grade 12 students on December 7th.  The day will feature:  How to Choose a Major, Career Planning, International Exchange, Residence Life and much more.  Information and application forms are available in the guidance office.
Nov. 16 – 19 Hey Eagle’s Fans.  Get your Eagles Wear in time for NWOSSAA this Friday.  Support our Senior Boys Volleyball team by wearing the latest eagles wear.    We have girls long sleeve shirts, new p.j. bottoms, scarves and white hoodies.
Nov. 17, 18 The Nordic Ski Team will be having a startup meeting at lunch today in room 137.  All interested skiers are welcome, and no experience is necessary.  If you are looking for a great way to improve your fitness and endurance, while competing in both a team and individual setting, come out and see what it’s all about.  Today at lunch in room 137. 
Nov. 17 – 18 Students have an opportunity to buy a ticket to watch the Sr. boys Volleyball team play St. Ignatius for NWOSSAA this Friday period 4.  Tickets are on sale today at lunch in the student square – for only $2.00 each.  You need to sign your ticket, show it to your period 4 teacher for attendance on Friday & bring the ticket with you to the gym for entrance to the game.  Friday is an extreme Blue & Gold/Eagles wear Day so come dressed up & cheer on our team.
Nov. 17, 18 Do you need volunteer hours?  We need help putting on the karaoke night that is happening tonight.  If you can help out, please come & sign up in the main office.
Nov. 10 – 19 Do you like doing crafts?  Do you want to learn how to make moccasins, mittens and other Christmas ornaments?  Join Mrs. Ambridge at lunch today to make ornaments for a tree for Grace Haven.  Volunteer hours can be obtained.
Nov. 18 This year at the Festival of Trees there will be a “Dryden Kids Have Talent” Show.  It will be Nov. 27th at 6:30 p.m. at The Centre.  You can sing, dance, perform magic, or tell jokes.  Registration forms are here in the main office.  Sign up early as entries are limited.  There is a $5.00 minimum donation to Grace Haven per entry.
