Morning Announcements – March 8, 2012

Mar. 8 Mrs. Durocher’s Grade 12 Cosmetology class has a lunch hour class in room 119.
Mar. 8 If you are between the ages of 14 & 17 and would like to attend the Terry Fox Youth Centre in Ottawa, come to a meeting today in room 210 at 11:45.  This is a great opportunity to spend a week with other students from across Canada.
Mar. 8 Attention all students interested in the DHS Eagles Outdoor Track and Field Season.  Students are reminded that there will be a mandatory sign-up and information meeting today at 11:45 in the small gym.  Anyone wishing to train with or try out for the 2012 Team must attend this meeting.
Mar. 8 The Grad photographer will return to DHS April 4th and 5th.  Sign up for retakes or if you have not had your picture taken yet.  This will be your last chance to have grad pics done at DHS.
Mar. 8 Seven Generations Education Institute will be here on Thursday, March 22 from 12:45 – 1:45 to talk about their College & University Programs – Teacher, Social Worker, Police Foundations, Culinary Arts, & Masters Programs.  Sign up in the guidance office.
Mar. 8 Grade 12 Cosmetology will be offering $5 Tuesdays.  Eyebrow Waxing or Bang Trims.  Please make an appointment – Cosmetology Room 124A.  Walk in welcomed until 11:45 on Tuesdays.
Mar. 8 The Dryden Rotary Club is once again sponsoring Adventures in Technology, which is a 6 day event running from Sunday April 29th to Saturday May 4th, 2012.  One DHS student will be chosen to join students from across Western Canada for an intense exploration of advanced technology, research development and applications.  This is a highly academic program having students visit some of Canada’s finest corporations and research facilities.  If you would like to be considered for this program or wish to nominate another student, please forward the name to Guidance.  Deadline for applications is Wed., March 14th.  For more information, contact Guidance.
