Morning Announcements – Jan. 18, 2011

Jan. 17, 18 The science wing is a designated quiet zone today and tomorrow as there are lab exams in progress.
Jan. 18, 19 Did you miss out on joining the DHS Ambassadors’ Tour of Russia?  Are you interested in joining them on next year’s tour to Portugal?  If you are, be sure to bring a parent to the information meeting in the DHS Library.  The meetings will be tonight and tomorrow (Tuesday & Wednesday) at 6:30.
Jan. 18 The 1st Annual Kids Northern Lights Karaoke Contest will take place on February 6, 2011.  Registration & practice will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Contest will be from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Registration fee is 3:00 per child, per week to qualify for the semi-finals.  Each Sunday afternoon family and friends will vote 2 kids for each category.  For more information look for posters in the school or the web site is KNLkaraoke contest @hotmail.ca
Jan. 18 The Eagle’s Nest has a special request.  Instead of throwing your unwanted change on the floor, please bring it to the school store or give it to Mrs. Palermo-Savage.  All donations are going to support a local family who is in need of our help.
Jan. 18 Attention to students who have not yet returned the green Consent to Release Personal Information form that was in with your report cards, please return this form as soon as possible.  Without this consent form, your picture will not be in the yearbook.  If you need a form, there are extras here in the main office.
