Morning Announcements – April 28, 2011

April 28 Congratulations to Shad Espiritu, Shaun Espiritu and Mark Bourgon.  They competed in a math competition at Lakehead University yesterday and all 3 placed in the top 10 out of 60 students.  Shaun was the top finisher earning 5th place.
April 28 Have you heard the buzz?  Have you heard the excitement from the DHS Ambassadors who travelled to Europe last week?  Do you want to be part of that excitement?  Well then, come to the information meeting tonight at 6:30 in the DHS Library and find out how you can be part of next year’s DHS Ambassadors Europe tour.
April 26 – 28 Any students interested in attending summer camps @ Providence or Legion Athletic Camp, please see the information posted outside the phys. ed. office.  Brochures are also available @ the phys. ed. office.
   
April, May Canadian Blood Services is asking for 40 students and staff to help hospital patients by donating blood at DHS on Mon., May 9, from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. and Tues., May 10 from 12:00 – 3:00 and 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.  There are 40 appointment spots to fill between 12:30 and 2:00 p.m.  Those wishing to donate at other times or for other information can call 1-888-2-DONATE.  A single donation can help up to three people, so every donor counts!
April 28 The Dryden Ball Diamonds Committee is looking for some student volunteers to help with set up on May 6th serving dinner on May 7th and take down on May 8th for the 7th Annual Chamber Business Excellence Awards Dinner.  Please come to the main office for more information if you are interested.
April 28 Grade 12 graduating students…graduation is less than 2 months away.  Orders for your cap and gown can be  placed here in the office.  $25.00 will reserve a cap and gown…a requirement for walking across the stage.  If you are choosing not to attend the graduation ceremonies, a form must be filled out indicating a cap and gown will not be required.  Deadline is April 21st.
April 28 Attention to students who have not yet returned the green Consent to Release Personal Information form that was in with your report cards, please return this form as soon as possible.  Without this consent form, your picture will not be in the yearbook.  If you need a form, there are extras here in the main office.
