Morning Announcements – April 26, 2010

April 26 Congratulations to the Dryden High School Envirothon Team – They are the 2010 winners of the Thunder Bay Regional Envirothon.  The DHS team, composed of Alison Gamble, Michelle Arseneault, Jasmine Traini, Vaneesha Mashru and Kara Gaudette, worked hard to triumph over the I.B. students from Churchill Collegiate and earn the right to represent North Western Ontario at the provincial finals next week in Hamilton. Good Luck team, as you aim towards representing Ontario at the International Envirothon in Fresno, California!
April 26 – 28 Any students still occupying a locker in the boys team room downstairs are to remove their belongings by Wed., Apr. 28 at 3:30.  Lockers will be assigned after that point.
April 21 – May 6 Canadian Blood Services is asking for 40 students to help hospital patients by donating blood at DHS on Wed., May 5 from 4:00 – 8:30 and Thurs., May 6 from 12:00 – 3:00 and 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.  There are 40 appointment spots to fill between 12:30 & 1:30 on May 6 (Thurs).  Please sign up in the office.  Those wishing to donate at other times or for other information can call 1-888-2-DONATE. 
April 23 – 27 There will be a quick badminton meeting Tuesday @ 11:30 for all of this year’s team members.  Please bring your shorts & borrowed rackets when you attend.
April 26 If you are a student in need of some volunteer hours – Dryden Full Gospel Church is looking for volunteers for yard clean-up on Sat. May 1st from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  Lunch is provided.  Please call Mr. Shearer at 937-1901 or 223-5504.  Or e-mail kids@dfgc.ca
April 26 The Canadian Red Cross (Dryden and District Branch) is currently seeking volunteers for upcoming events.  Tag Day is May 21st at several different locations throughout Dryden.  For more information, contact the Canadian Red Cross office in Dryden at 223-4751.
April, May The Dryden Centennial Air Show is looking for volunteers for May 22 & 23.  For more information contact the guidance office.
April 26 Attention Graduating Students – if you have not already done so – you must place your order for a cap and gown.  The order will be sent in on Friday.
