Morning Announcements – April 10, 2012

Apr. 10 Canadian Forces representatives will be here today.  If you would like to speak with them or to set up an appointment, please go to the Guidance Office.
Apr. 10 Confederation College representatives will be here on Wednesday, April 11 at 9:00 in the library.  They are encouraging grade11 students to check out their programming.  For more information and sign-up, go to the Guidance Office.
Apr. 10 Attention Potential Grade 12 Grads:  Cap & gown order forms are available in the main office – these must be filled in & returned to the main office with $25.00 by April 20th.  If you’re not planning to attend the ceremony, you still need to fill in a form.  If you are attending the grad ceremony, a cap & gown must be ordered & worn.
Apr. 10 Brochures & information pamphlets are in the Phys. Ed. office for anybody interested in going to various summer camps for sports this summer.

Apr. 10 Grade 12 Cosmetology will be offering $5 Tuesdays.  Eyebrow Waxing or Bang Trims.  Please make an appointment – Cosmetology Room 124A.  Walk in welcomed until 11:45 on Tuesdays.
Apr. 10 For a limited time, Grade 12 Cosmetology Students are selling flat irons and curling irons.  Place an order with Grade 12 Cosmo student or see Mrs. Durocher in room 124A.
Apr. 10 Canadian Blood Services is asking for 30 students and staff to rally together to save lives by donating blood at DHS on Tuesday, May 8 – 12:00 – 3:00 and 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.  There are 30 appointment spots to fill between 12:30 & 1:30 p.m.  Those wishing to donate at other times or for other information can call 1-888-2-DONATE (1-888-236-6283).  A single donation can help up to three people, so every donor counts.  Sign up is here in the main office. 
Apr. 10 Tomorrow is Blue & Gold/Eagleswear Day.  We are hosting the Norwossa Badminton Championships all day in both gyms so wear your Blue & Gold to school and cheer on the Badminton teams tomorrow.
Apr. 10 Bring your $5.00 to school tomorrow to purchase old DHS Eagles jerseys & shorts – all items $5.00 each.  They will be on sale tomorrow in the hall outside the big gym during the badminton tourney.
April 10 Anyone looking for volunteer hours, the Canadian Cancer Society is looking for volunteers to help at the Home & Trade Show Relay for Life booth next weekend.  Please sign up in the main office this week.  Volunteers are needed on Thursday & Friday after school and evening and all day on Saturday.
