October 2nd Announcements

Oct 2 DHS Eagles Cross-Country team had a great first meet Nicolas Peters came 1st in the senior boys division with Pedro Anishinabie in third. Amy Wickstrom came first in the senior girls division, Sarah Urquhart in second and Danielle Szczepaniak in 4th. Gavan Wisneski came 1st in the junior boys race, and Luke Turcott came 3rd. Maddie lambert came second in the junior girls division.
Oct 2 It is not too late to register to travel to Greece.   Interested in traveling this March break?   Stop and talk to Mr. Mitchell or bring your parents to our last information meeting tomorrow at 6 pm in Room 107. Current travelers, please see Mr. Mitchell to pick up your next fundraiser.
Oct 2 Students who will be going on to post-secondary school next year are encouraged to visit the External Scholarships and Bursaries page of the guidance section of the DHS website. This site is being updated on an ongoing basis TD Scholarship for Community Leadership is now accepting applications from students in their final year of high school.  Students who have made their community a better place could receive $70,000 over 4 years.  For more information please visit the External Scholarship page of guidance section of the DHS webpage or visit the guidance office.
Oct 2 The University Information Program will be tomorrow from 2:00 pm in the Cafeteria.
Oct 2 Any Grade 9 students that have your registration packages completed, please drop them off at the office.
Oct 2 Anecdotal reports go home on today and Parent teacher interviews will be on Wed. Oct. 4th from 3:45 – 6:15 pm. Nov. 13th Mid-term reports go home and Parent Teacher interviews will be on Nov 15th, same time as above.
Oct 2 Picture day will have a second session for those who have not had their photo taken or require retakes on Wednesday, October 25th.  Please remember to have your photo taken for the yearbook and to get your student ID card even if you don’t plan to buy a package.
