Morning Announcements – Wednesday, May 7th, 2014

May 7 For students who have handed in their consent form for Conservation Camp, there is a short, but mandatory meeting at 11:30 on Friday in room 137.  If you are unable to attend, please contact Mr. Schmidt ahead of time.  If you haven’t handed in your form yet, or are interested in attending this year’s camp, see Mr. Schmidt immediately.
May 7 Do you like science?   Do you like outdoor education?   Imagine learning about your favorite topics from Belize in Central America.   Experiencing different ecosystems and the impacts of tourism on the environment while experiencing adventures such as cave tubing, zip lining and snorkelling.   If you think this might be how you’d like to spend next March Break; learning about these and other subjects; then come out to the information meeting on Tuesday May 13th at 7:00pm in room 107.
May 7 TRILLIUM DATABASE will not be available Thursday from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM.  Please make sure you are logged out of Trillium before 4:30.
May 7 Any badminton players with anything left in the team lockers downstairs are to remove them by Thursday at 3:30.  The lockers will be reassigned.
May 7 Did you miss the football meeting yesterday?  It’s not too late – see Mr. Zilkalns or any other player from last year for the next step.  There is no harm in trying.
May 7 Co-op students are reminded that there is an in class day tomorrow (Thurs) in room 126.
May 7 Outland is hiring first nation students aged 16 – 19 for the 1st nations Natural Resources Youth Employment program.  Interested students can pick up application forms in the GO.
May 7 Students can now pick up report cards at the office.
May 7 Students interested in going to Forensic Science Camp at Trent University in July can pick up more information in the guidance office.
May 7 The Department of Aboriginal Education at Lakehead University is offering the Honours Bachelor of Education Program which is a four year program with emphasis on teaching Aboriginal children.  Applications are available in the guidance office.
May 7 Grade 12 Students all of the local scholarships and bursaries are now online.  Check out the website or drop by the guidance office for more information.  Always check for new additions at the bottom of the page.
