Morning Announcements – Wednesday, January 7th, 2015

Jan 7 The girls hockey team was firing on all cylinders last night with a 9 -0 win over the TA Saints in Kenora. Be sure to come out to the Dryden arena this Thursday as the girls play the Fort Frances Muskies at 6:30.
Jan 7 – 9 Wrestling teams from Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Sioux Lookout and Pelican Falls will be competing in a tournament here on Friday at 1:00 pm.  Please come to the big gym at 1:00 pm to watch and if you are looking for some volunteer hours, please see Mr. Walsh in room 109 to sign up.
Jan 7 The Dryden Rotary Club will be sponsoring a student to attend the Adventures in Technology in Saskatoon.  This is a comprehensive, carefully planned 4 ½ day event that will enhance your awareness and understanding of technology and the many ways that it affects our lives.  Interested students stop by the guidance office for more information.
Jan 7 Are you a Grade 11 student that is planning to attend Confederation College after graduation?  You may qualify to have your $95 Application Fee paid for and receive a $1,000 Entrance Award through the Confederation Bound – Early Acceptance program.  Stop by the guidance office for more information.

Jan 7 Students you can have your say about your education…Apply now for the 2015-16 Minister’s Student Advisory Council.  This is a group of about 60 students from publicly funded schools all across the province.  They share their ideas and advice with the Minister of Education.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. McConnachie, Mr. Bartlett or Ms. McMaster.
