May 15 The exam schedule is in the office if you have not received one yet.
May 15-21 Just a reminder that next Thursday, May 22nd is a late start day. Pd. 1 begins at 10:15
May 15 If you need some volunteer hours, you can help out with the mini pow-wow to help set up at lunch hour and put away chairs after the feast at 3:30 pm.  You can sign up at the office.
May 15 – 26 The Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving ‘tie one on’ campaign invites everyone to have a safe and healthy May long weekend!  Get your ribbon in the main office or locations around town to show your support and increase awareness of important issues, and to remember not to drive impaired!When you tie a ribbon on your purse, pants, car, or anywhere visible and fill out a survey, you have a chance of winning some amazing prizes!    Bring your completed survey forms to the main office or other designated locations around town – your name may be drawn for a prize from various business on May 27th.  Let’s change the meaning of tie one on this May long!
May 15 The Athletic Awards Banquet is on Thursday, May 29th @ 6 pm & tickets are on sale now in the physed office and the main office.  They are $10 each for a catered supper and awards presentation.  The theme is black and white – please keep it classy.  All athletes and parents are welcome.
May 15 Dryden High School summer school opportunities are here!  Are you behind in credits or would like to reach ahead in credits?  DHS has numerous summer school opportunities like independent study, cooperative education, French immersion, and others, that could suit your needs.  Please contact the DHS guidance department to register!
May 15 The Rotary Club of Dryden is pleased to be able to sponsor up to 6 youths to attend Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Camp again this summer in Clear Lake, Manitoba in August.  The Rotary Club covers the registration fee of $425 per camper and the transportation cost to the camp in Clear Lake. Applications are in the office and the deadline to apply is MAY 30th.
May 15 Outland is hiring first nation students aged 16 – 19 for the 1st nations Natural Resources Youth Employment program.  Interested students can pick up application forms in the GO.
May 15 Students interested in going to Forensic Science Camp at Trent University in July can pick up more information in the guidance office.
May 15 The Department of Aboriginal Education at Lakehead University is offering the Honours Bachelor of Education Program which is a four year program with emphasis on teaching Aboriginal children.  Applications are available in the guidance office.
May 15 Grade 12 Students all of the local scholarships and bursaries are now online.  Check out the website or drop by the guidance office for more information.  Always check for new additions at the bottom of the page.
