Morning Announcements – September 8, 2014

Sept 8 – Picture day will be on Wed. Oct. 1st and re-takes will be on Wed. Nov. 5th.
Sept 8 & 9 Do you like science?   Do you like outdoor education?   Imagine learning about your favourite topics while traveling through Belize in Central America.   Experiencing different ecosystems and the impacts of tourism on the environment while experiencing adventures such as cave tubing, zip lining and snorkeling.   If you think this might be how you’d like to spend your March Break; learning about these and other subjects; then come out to the information meeting on Tuesday September 9th  at 7:00pm in room 107 or stop into room 107 anytime and see Mr. Mitchell for more information.
Sept 8 Students interested in using the weight room this year are to attend a quick meeting today at 11:30 in the weight room.
Sept 8 The Eagles football team dropped their opener on Friday to the Elmwood Giants despite a solid effort from the defensive line.  This Friday promises to be an exciting match with the Fort Frances Muskies.  Game time is 7:00 pm under the lights following the ceremony to open our new track.
Sept 8 Students taking MCT4C and SPH4C   E-learning courses with Al Richards, there is a meeting on Wed. Sept 10th  period 4 in the Library.
Sept 8 – 9 Come out and join Dryden High’s Ontario Students Against Impaired Driver’s  group.  It’s a great way to earn your volunteer hours. Our first meeting is tomorrow at lunch, upstairs in room 204 B- hope to see you there!
Sept 8 Any students who have not yet claimed their locker from last year, please do so by Wed, or it will be reassigned to another student.
Sept 8 Try outs for the cheerleading team will start on Wednesday at 5pm in the big gym.  Please see the posters in the student square for more dates, times, and information.
