Morning Announcements – September 27th, 2013

Sept. 27 Congratulations to the boys golf team in winning the NWOSSA golf championship for the first time in school history.  Josh Kitt lead the way capturing the individual NWOSSA gold medal with a 74 followed by Kirk Markowski 7th, Trey Palermo 9th, Cam Zappitelli 12th and Adam Getson 16th. The team moves on to the OFSAA championship in Windsor on Oct. 16 & 17th.
Sept. 27 – Oct 2nd Picture day is on Wednesday, October 2nd.  If you did not receive the pamphlet you can pick one up at the office.
Sept. 27 Grade 12 students – Please check the DHS website and the binder in the guidance office on a regular basis for the latest scholarships and bursaries.
Sept. 27 CIP (Ontario Colleges) will be here on Monday. Representatives from several Ontario colleges will be set up in the Cafeteria.

UIP (Ontario Universities) – October 8th – Representatives from all Ontario Universities will be set up in the Cafeteria

Confederation College – October 29th @ 9 am – Library

Sept. 27 The Dryden Rotary Club is sponsoring a grade 11 or 12 student to attend Adventures In Agriculture. THIS PROGRAM is held during the internationally acclaimed Canadian Western Livestock Show and Sale held annually in Regina. The program is aimed towards senior students interested in agriculture and is designed to help broaden knowledge and understanding of the versatile agricultural sector, environmental issues, and the challenge of providing food for the world. Interested students should go to the GO. (Deadline is Oct. 25th to register)
Sept. 30 – Oct 7,14,21 There will be a Gay-Straight Alliance meeting on Monday in room 206 at the start of lunch – everyone is welcome to attend!
Sept. 30 Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving group will be meeting in the upstairs video conference room on Tuesday at lunch.  New members are welcome!
