Morning Announcements – November 15th, 2011

Nov. 15 Season 2 cheerleading tryouts continue on Friday, Nov. 18th at 7:00 a.m. in the big gym.
Nov. 15 Someone from Safe Grad will be here in the student square on Friday, Nov. 28th between 12:00 & 12:30 to collect ticket stubs & money & hand out more tickets.
Nov. 15 Dryden High School is decorating a tree for the Festival of Trees again this year.  The tree is to be decorated in items a teenager would like.  Staff & students can bring items for the tree to the Resource room by Monday, Nov. 21st.  The tree will be decorated on Tuesday, November 22nd.  Some suggestions – a subway gift card, Tim Horton’s card, blue & gold scarf, candy, etc.  Thank you for your support
Nov. 14 – 16 Junior girls volleyball tryouts continue this week today and Wednesday at 5:00 until 6:30 and Thurs. at 3:30.  Please see Mr. Desautels if you can’t make tryout practice.
Nov. 15 Sunset Country Heritage Music Association is in need of volunteers to help serve food & help with clean up for their Christmas dinner & dance @ the Legion on Saturday, December 3rd from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Contact Mervin @ 216-8319
Nov. 15 The Vermilion Bay Happy Go Lucky Seniors Centre is in need of volunteers for a Bake Sale on Nov. 26th from 11:00 – 1:30.  Please call 227- 5375.
Nov. 15 MOTUS O dance theatre is auditioning for”  “A CHRISTMAS CAROL” which will be performed at the Dryden Regional Training and Cultural Centre on Dec. 6 @ 7:00 p.m.  This is your chance to perform alongside professional actors and dancers from MOTUS O dance theatre – Ontario Artists of the Year 2010!  If you’re interested in auditioning, here’s what you need to know:  Audition Location is Dryden Regional Training and Cultural Centre on Sat., Nov. 19 from 9:00 – 5:00 and Sun., Nov. 20th from 9:00 – 5:00.  For Audition Requirements please come to the main office for this information.
Nov. 15 Festival of Trees to support Grace Haven is looking for student volunteers to help with moving, decorating, set up, serving coffee & tea and the special events help.  Come to the office for more information.  (221-2233)

Nov. 15 Grade 12 students applying to universities and colleges outside of Ontario, MUST let the guidance office know, or transcripts will not be sent.
