Sept. 16 There will be representatives for the Aboriginal University/College tour here today – you can sign up at the Guidance Office.

CIP(Ontario Colleges) September 30th- Representatives from several Ontario colleges will be set up in the Cafeteria

Brandon University – October 1st

University of Manitoba – October 7th

UIP (Ontario Universities) – October 8th – Representatives from all Ontario Universities will be set up in the Cafeteria

Signup sheets are in the guidance office and a complete list of all presentations is posted by the guidance office.

Sept. 16 Reminder that there will be an information meeting tomorrow at 6:30 in room 107 about the trip to Costa Rica on the March break.
Sept.16 Brock Penner will be in the library for tutoring on Tuesday’s from 12 – 12:30  and Thursday mornings from 8:15 – 8:45 am
Sept. 16 There will be a safe grad meeting tonight at 7 pm in the DHS library.
Sept. 16 The school day will be shortened today and the hours are as follows:

Period One 10:15 to 11:00

Break 11:00 to 11:10

Period Two 11:10 to 12:00

Lunch 12:00 to 1:00

Period Three 1:00 to 2:00

Break 2:00 to 2:10

Period Four 2:10 to 3:10

Sept. 16 If you are in need of volunteer hours, the Ice Dogs are looking for helpers on game days.  You can sign up at the main office if you are interested.
Sept. 16 The Dryden Rotary Club is once again sponsoring a grade 11 or 12 student to attend Adventures In Agriculture. THIS PROGRAM is held during the internationally acclaimed Canadian Western Livestock Show and Sale held annually in Regina. The program is aimed towards senior students interested in agriculture and is designed to help broaden knowledge and understanding of the versatile agricultural sector, environmental issues, and the challenge of providing food for the world. Interested students should go to the GO.

Just a reminder that the University of Waterloo Aboriginal Youth Conference applications are due to Mrs. Ambridge by Friday, Sept. 20th. Applications are in the Guidance office.  The grade 12 trip is at the end of October.
Sept. 16 There will be a sexual health clinic in the Guidance office every Monday between 11 and 1.  A nurse is available and no appointment is necessary.

All parents and guardians are invited to the first School Council meeting which will take place on Tuesday, September 24th.  The meeting will begin at 7:00 pm in the DHS Library.  Hope to see you there.
