Morning Announcements – Monday, December 16th, 2013

Dec. 16 Congratulations to the girls hockey team for their silver medal finish at the K-Town Klassic tournament in Kenora over the weekend.  The girls were undefeated with wins over Westwood, Beaver Brae and Red Lake setting up the gold medal game with Fort Frances.  The game was tied 1 – 1 after overtime and went to a 7-player shootout before falling 2 -1 to the Muskies.  Scoring in regulation was Lyndsey Oliphant and in the shootout Rachel Getson.  Jacquie Grandmont had a strong game in net.

Dec. 16 MA/DAA!!!!!! This just in and sorry it so late in delivery, there is a mandatory meeting for all students of the Music and Dramatic Arts Association who are going to the Big Boom Trip at Lunch in the music Room! Get on the phones start texting your friends and be in the music room at 11:40.
Dec. 16 There will be a benefit social on Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Legion Hall for one of our DHS students, Tracyn Lengyel.  The social is from 8pm-1am.  Minors are welcome until 11pm.  Come out and have a great time and support one of our Dryden Eagles.
Dec. 16  The Cloverbelt Local Food Co-operative is looking for volunteers to help distribute food orders after school.  Please stop by the guidance office for contact information.
Dec. 16 The Northwest Catholic District School Board is preparing to run the Grade 10 Religious Education eLearning course.  This course is open to all high school students.  There are no prerequisites and it is worth 1 high school credit.  For more information stop by the guidance office.

Dec. 16 The Dryden Rifle and Pistol Club is having a Junior rifle shooting progam on Jan. 6th.  Please come to the office for the registration information.

Dec. 16 Grade 12 students applying to universities and colleges outside of Ontario MUST let the guidance office know, or your transcripts will not be sent. Also, please remember to check the DHS website and the binder in the guidance office on a regular basis for the latest scholarships and bursaries.
