May 1 Announcements

The final list for conservation camp has been chosen. You can see the final list posted outside of room 137.  All successful applicants are to attend a brief mandatory meeting in room 137 at the beginning of lunch tomorrow.   If students are not able to attend for any reason, please be sure to talk to Mr. Schmidt ahead of time.  Congratulations to all applicants!
We would like to invite Grade 10 and 11 students to the 3% presentation during Period 1 today.  The 3% project aims to reach 1 million Canadian youth (which is 3% of the total population) with the message to “educate and empower us to plan and take action towards climate change solutions in local communities.”  The presentation will begin shortly after morning announcements and is projected to continue until 10:05.  
For those in the Dramatic Arts Association; don’t forget to save the date for this Sunday. Come to Wednesday’s improv lunch meeting for more information.
Interested in travelling with DHS Ambassadors next year to Germany and Central Europe?   Come out to a parents information meeting tonight after parent teacher interviews at 6:30 in room 107.   
Hey, Hey MA, anyone playing for Music in Motion or Grad Band are to attend the meeting on Friday, May 3rd at lunch to choose sheet music and rehearsal dates.  If you are unable to attend, be sure to let someone in MA know.
There will be a Lunch hour lockdown Tuesday’s & Thurdsay’s in Room 119.  Come and work on your assignments. Lunch will be provided.
On Thursday, May 9th, there will be a student vs. teacher volleyball game during the lunch hour.  This is to help raise awareness for mental health.  If you are interested in participating there is a sign up sheet in the main office.
We are placing the cap & gown order this Friday.  Please come ASAP to fill out your form.
