Former DHS Student Walks for Aboriginal Issues

Leo Baskatawang is a graduate student at the University of Manitoba who is is conducting a march from Vancouver, BC to Ottawa, ON in order to raise awareness of issues facing Aboriginal Canadians.

Leo feels that there is a need for Aboriginal people to “press the federal government  for action on critical issues that have plagued Aboriginal society since, and even before, the confederation of this country.”

Baskatawang will begin his march in Vancouver on April 23rd, and expects to pass through Dryden in July.
