Eagles 2 for 4 vs. Fort Frances

The Dryden Eagles split the day on the courts vs. Fort Frances in NorWOSSA league play today.

The Junior Boys started the day off on the volleyball court with a tough four set loss to the Muskies. After opening with a 25-19 win, the boys faltered and dropped the next three 15-25, 23-25 and 21-25.

The Junior Girls followed with a hard fought 20-16 win over the Muskies. Christina Medwid, Amy Doudiet, Liv Carter and Amy Knipping each scored 4 points for the Eagles.

The Senior Boys volleyball team went back and forth with Fort Frances, eventually winning in four sets 25-20, 18-25, 25-13, 25-21.

The Senior Girls closed out the day with a 33-19 loss vs Fort. The girls kept the score close through most of the game but faltered defensively in the last quarter, allowing Fort to pull ahead. Leading scorers were Morgan Church with 5 and Emile Gardam with 4.

The Eagles won’t see home court action now until October 13th, when they take on the Fort Frances Muskies.
