Apr.11 Announcements

The badminton team travelled to Sioux Lookout yesterday to participate in the qualifier tournament. The top 3 teams in each division earn a spot at NorWOSSA.  All teams played hard & represented our school well.  The teams of Evan Armit & Hannah Zilkalns, Lauren Bell & Emily Heil & Julia & Liam Jones were undefeated.  Also qualifying were the teams of Kethleen Abayan & Amie Brown, Ethan Cook & Barret Edenburn and in the singles, players Gabby Lugli & Brynn Montgomery.  Congratulations!  Reminder to all players of practice today @ 3:30 pm
It’s not too late to sign up for next week’s overnight trip to Winnipeg.   Shopping and a play, what more could you ask for?   This tony award winning show will knock your socks off, even though you may want to wear them in these boots… There will be a meeting today at lunch in room 125 for all those interested and/or already signed up.
Anyone interested in potentially forming a High-School aged baseball team is asked to attend a brief meeting in the French Room (Room 209) today at the beginning of lunch. This would be in addition to minor ball with the potential of playing other teams. Please see Ms. Lundstrom if you have any questions or are unable to attend.
Acts of kindness are anything but random.  Our civics group is asking you to donate your change this week to support World Vision. Many thanks to those who already donated. The money will be used to purchase a water filter.  These filters protect families from deadly diseases that kill 6,000 children every day.  Please put your change in the World Vision bucket in the main office.  Thanks again from the Civics class for your support!
Important message for potential grads…It’s time to order your cap & gown.  The fee is $25.00 to rent the gown and you get to keep your hat. Orders must be paid for in the office by Friday, May 3rd.
My blueprint course selections are open for 2019-20!  If you need to reset your password, please come to Guidance during lunch to do so.  Counsellors will be making class visits in March to discuss options and you can always make a Guidance appointment to talk about options in person.
