During the 1947-1948 school year, all team competitions were held within the school and played at the Youth Center (Teen Canteen) .
The school league comprised of 6 teams that played a total of 30 games.
The space provided for spectators to the games was always filled to capacity. The cheering and heckling amongst the spectators was deafening and added to the exitement of the competition.
