right. Her name was Tiny Martenson. This picture dates to the mid
1930s. The carefree smiles on the children's faces can truly warm

During winter time a sleigh was used to transport the children
to school. The teacher would often arrive at school a few hours in advance
to start the wood stove that heated the one room school
