Frank Levi Olsen

Birth: Not known.

Missing over Malta on November 10, 1942. Body was never found.

Very little is known of Frank Levi Olsen. The 1939-1940 Argosy states that Frank Olsen played a leading role in the Trial Scene of the Merchant of Venice. Jock Ferguson remembers Frank Olsen singing in the choir at St. Luke's Church here in Dryden.


Other pictures of Frank may be found on pages 245,246 and 247 in the book A Voice In The Wilderness written by Pansy Howell. During the 1930s, as remembered by Jock Ferguson, Frank was a choir boy at St. Luke's Church.

For those of you interested, Pansy Howell's book is an excellent read and gives the reader a good perspective on the Anglican Church and Dryden.

Sgt. Frank L. Olsen, R.C.A.F. Missing

Sgt. Frank Olsen, R.C.A.F., son of Chris Olsen, of Dryden, is missing after air operations overseas, according to a wire received yesterday morning by The Observer, the government officially releasing the fact for publication.

Sgt. Frank Olsen Promoted

According to advice recently received from R.C.A.F. Records Office, Sgt. Frank Olsen was promoted to rank of Warrant Officer while serving with the R.A.F. in Egypt prior to being posted to Malta from which base he was reported missing in November, 1942
