The McIntyre Family in Dryden

Mr. Alexander (Sandy) McIntyre was transferred from Virden Manitoba to Dryden in 1931. He served as the Royal Bank Manager from 1931 until his retirement in 1951.

While working in Dryden, Mr. McIntyre was very active in the community. He was a Free Mason, was a member of the local Rotary Club and served as vice-chairman of the Dryden High School Board of Education.

His wife, Mrs. Lorraine McIntyre, is rememberd by many in Dryden as an accomplished painter. Many Dryden residents were introduced to painting by Mrs. McIntyre while she taught classes in her home.

Mr. and Mrs. McIntyre had two children, Russell (1923-1943) and Catherine (1927-1985), both of whom graduated from Dryden High School.

After his retirement from the Royal Bank in Dryden, the McIntyre family moved to Winnipeg Manitoba
