Dec. 19 Congratulations to the Eagles wrestling team for placing 3rd overall at yesterday’s tournament.
Dec. 19 Attention all students interested in Eagles Track and Field.

The team will host a throwing and jumping skills camp led by 5 x Canadian Olympic Coach Andy Higgins at DHS on Saturday Jan 4th.

Students can sign up for this free event on the bulletin board in student square.   Entry is limited. Sign up today

Dec. 19 Any former Outdoor Ed students that want their journals back can go to room 131 this week to pick them up.
Dec. 19 There will be a benefit social on Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Legion Hall for one of our DHS students, Tracyn Lengyel.  The social is from 8pm-1am.  Minors are welcome until 11pm.  Come out and have a great time and support one of our Dryden Eagles.
Dec. 19 The Dryden Mission is giving away free winter coats and boots until Dec. 21st.  Limit one pair per customer.  They are open Tues – Sat fr 10 – 4 pm
Dec. 19  The Cloverbelt Local Food Co-operative is looking for volunteers to help distribute food orders after school.  Please stop by the guidance office for contact information.
Dec. 19 The Northwest Catholic District School Board is preparing to run the Grade 10 Religious Education eLearning course.  This course is open to all high school students.  There are no prerequisites and it is worth 1 high school credit.  For more information stop by the guidance office.
Dec. 19 The Dryden Rifle and Pistol Club is having a Junior rifle shooting progam on Jan. 6th.  Please come to the office for the registration information.
Dec. 19 Yearbooks can be picked up at the office.

Dec. 18 The grade 9/10 BBI class will be having a bake sale today at lunch.  They will be selling pizza, cupcakes, french fries and soft serve pretzels in the student square.  Remember to bring your money.

Morning Announcements – Monday, December 16th, 2013

Dec. 16 Congratulations to the girls hockey team for their silver medal finish at the K-Town Klassic tournament in Kenora over the weekend.  The girls were undefeated with wins over Westwood, Beaver Brae and Red Lake setting up the gold medal game with Fort Frances.  The game was tied 1 – 1 after overtime and went to a 7-player shootout before falling 2 -1 to the Muskies.  Scoring in regulation was Lyndsey Oliphant and in the shootout Rachel Getson.  Jacquie Grandmont had a strong game in net.

Dec. 16 MA/DAA!!!!!! This just in and sorry it so late in delivery, there is a mandatory meeting for all students of the Music and Dramatic Arts Association who are going to the Big Boom Trip at Lunch in the music Room! Get on the phones start texting your friends and be in the music room at 11:40.

Morning Announcements – Monday, December 9, 2013

Dec. 9 Congratulations to the girls hockey team for winning the PCI Saints hockey tournament in Portage over the weekend.  The girls went undefeated in round robin play with wins of 11- 0 over Portage, 3 - 0 over Fort Frances, and 3 - 1 over St. Mary's to finish in first place.  They defeated the Red Lake Rams 3 - 1 in the championship game.  The girls next game is this Tuesday in Fort Frances.  Listen to the game on CKDR.
Dec. 9 Reminder of the GSA meeting at the start of lunch today in the upper video conference room!

Dec. 4 The boy’s hockey team defeated the Queen Elizabeth Warriors last night in Sioux Lookout 9 – 4.  Zack Lugli and Jarod Price scored their first goals as Eagles enroute to the victory.

Morning Announcements – December 2, 2013

Dec. 2 THE GSA meeting will take place this week on Thursday at lunch in the upper video conference room.  There will be no meeting on Monday – sorry for the switch!

Dec. 2 The girls hockey team defeated the Saint Thomas Aquinas Saints last night by a score of 7 - 1.  Leading the way with two goals apiece were Shelby Tourond and Leah Balla.  Also scoring were Rachel Getson, Liv Carter and Jess Carter while Martina Wintle had 4 assists.  CJ Jolicouer earned the win in net.  The girls host the QE Warriors this Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
Dec. 2 Your pre-ordered Eagle’s jackets are in.  Please come to room 118 at the beginning of lunch to pick them up.
Dec. 2 You can now sign out the ping pong table at lunch.  Get your paddles and ping pong ball at the Eagle’s Nest.  Just bring a piece of ID as a deposit.
