Summer Job Season is here – Be Safe!

Many Dryden High School students will be entering the workforce this year either from part time jobs or for the first time.

It is important as new or young workers that you know your rights as an employee.

Take a look at these fact sheets for students and parents. There is some excellent information here that will help to start the conversation about workplace safety for your children.

Be safe out there! Remember, you ALWAYS have the right to refuse unsafe work or ask questions about things you are asked to do.

May 26 The girls soccer team played very well yesterday to advance to the finals against Kenora.  Playing against a fresh team and with some injuries, they held the field and the game was scoreless after two 40 min halves.  They went into overtime play and then to a shootout.  The win went to Kenora, but the girls should be very proud of themselves for a well played season and for leaving their hearts out on the field.  Both coaches are very proud to have been a part of your 2011 soccer season!

Computer Engineering “End Task” project

Students at DHS are beginning to work on end-of-semester culminating activities. The culminating activities or end-tasks incorporate all of the knowledge that the student has gained over the semester.

In this photo, Shad Esperitu shows off his Computer Engineering end task project. After examining the function of the various IC chips in the circuit, Shad built this hardware random number generator.

Great work, Shad!

Here is another picture of the completed project.
