Eagles Boys Hockey Update

Thanks to Eagles Coach Mr. Oltsher for the update.

Tues Dec  7 - 11-1 loss to FF in Fort Frances

  • Corbin Gervasi lone goal for DHS
  • Justin Oltsher was in net for the loss and was replaced by Kim Wildhaber in the 3rd Period

Fri Dec 10 - 7-1 win vs RL in Ear Falls

  • 2 goals by both Blair Dingwall and Corbin Gervasi
  • Singles by Jared Stratford, Alex Calvert and Zack Pitchenese
  • Kim Wildhaber faced 16 shots for the win in net

Sat Dec 11 - 6-0 win vs RL in Cochenour

  • 2 goals by Zack Pitchenese
  • Singles by Alex Calvert, Corbin Gervasi and Blair Dingwall
  • Justin Oltsher faced 25 shots for the shutout

In FF, defensively we did not play well and couldn’t match the speed the Muskies…we played OK in the 1st period but came out flat in the 2nd and 3rd periods and just couldn’t dig ourselves out of the hole we made for ourselves

We worked on a few things in practice this week and it was nice to see the boys apply them in the games in Red Lake…our puck movement was better and this resulted in more scoring opportunities…the boys played well and rebounded well from the loss in FF

DHS Boys are done in the league for 2010…next action will be on Dec 27th at the Annual Alumni tournament.
